Research of extreme out of footprint reception from : Insat 3C at 74.0°E , Intelsat 12 at 45.0°E in central Slovakia
Question from : Mr. Christos Gardikiotis @ deepbluesky

Question :
Hello Mr. Dávid,
I'm aware of your website quite some years. In all the years i'm doing research of extreme out of footprint reception i haven't found any better web presence. Especially the Technical Library is extremely interesting. Although i don't understand a word of Slovakian, the measurements are absolutely phantastic and i want to thank you for sharing them with us all. Please allow me to ask you if you've tried 45E/74E India beams with your Prodelin 3.70m. Did you ever receive any signal from these beams ? Some people from Greece partly got 22W West Africa Beam on 2.40m-3.10m so would be also interesting to know if you receive anything from there as well.
Keep on the good work.
Best regards

Answer from dxsatcs.com :
Dear Mr.Gardikiotis @ deepbluesky ,
Thank you for your interest about my knowledge of data in dxsatcs portal.
But back to the problem :
1,45°E-Intelsat 12 / Indian KU footprint : I have analysed KU frequency segment from 11 400 to 11 700 MHz but without any V-QPSK seat with PF 370 cm in my location
2,74°E - Insat 3C Indian beam : on 1.8.2008 I first time search some locking by TP 12 frequency spectrum and carrier seat in f=4 165 MHz was
there , but without any stable gain level because POW-V not Q/MER permanently oscillating in wide range !!!
3,22°W - NSS 7 - SE footprint : last year on 29.11.2008 I was waiting two hours for some carrier ID from Tp 20 LZ but no C-ID searching was found only some
data in f=3 730 MHz not african telecast. That looked strange because POW-V level in f=3 725 MHz was equal for C-ID by FEC 7/8 !!!
Kind Regards
Question :
Thanks a lot for your quick reply Mr. Dávid,
Actually i've meant 74E Airtel and 22W Ku Band Canal Sat Horizons. From latter some were received not only in Northern Greece but also from Paolo Grandicelli. And for C-Band 43W/3874V was also received in Italy although the Beam officially covers just the Americas and not Europe. If you've got time please have a look.
Best regards
Christos
